Secure Macintosh & Windows Client Software

A list of bofth free and commercial software to provide secure remote shells and file transfers on Macintosh and Windows clients. All of the Remote Shell programs listed support X-forwarding to some degree except for NiftyTelnet. In several cases, you must be running the current version to get the X-forwarding support.

An open-source TELNET terminal emulation application with SSH2 protocol support released under the GNU General Public License. The source code is available via SourceForge. MacOS 7.5.1 or higher. Doesn't currently work under MacOSX with SSH, unsecure TELNET works fine.

Use version 3.2.2 for MacOSX 10.2, version 3.3.2 for MacOS 10.3 The $29 price is for the basic software, there is also a $49 professional version with a $39 educational price.
